Independent research on international humanitarian law and international criminal law
A Berlin-based non-profit research organisation supporting accountability for serious international crimes through evidence-focused investigation and analysis.
About
ArcticWind Research & Analysis is an independent, non-profit research organisation dedicated to the advancement of science and research in international humanitarian law and international criminal law. We conduct impartial investigations into alleged violations of these legal frameworks, particularly in the context of armed conflicts, and produce evidence-focused research outputs that support proceedings before international tribunals, hybrid courts, and national prosecutorial authorities.
What we do
INVESTIGATE
We conduct independent, impartial investigations into alleged violations of international humanitarian law and international criminal law, applying recognised scientific and documentary methods including open-source research, geospatial analysis, and structured evidence assessment.
ANALYSE
We produce scientific reports, expert opinions, analytical memoranda, and evidence dossiers prepared to the standards expected by judicial bodies. Our analysis is grounded in primary source verification and methodological transparency.
COOPERATE
We work with prosecutorial authorities, international and national courts, and recognised accountability mechanisms, providing research findings, expert statements, and contextual analysis in support of judicial proceedings.
